Yeah, I'm tracking that one already.

I was hoping someone had one that they wanted to sell direct.

He doesn't need to use an FFL on his end. The law is simple, he has to ship to an FFL. He doesn't have to use an FFL. What you need to do is get an FFL to send him two copies of his FFL license. He must have these before he ships. Put one copy in with the rifle as proof that it is going to an FFL (just in case someone searches it). Keep the other copy for your records. Send it to the FFL. The FFL then does the transfer on his end.

If you are still looking for a Marlin Camp Carbine .45, I have one that had a single box of 50 rounds through it about 15 years ago. I purchased the weapon to use in exterior defense of our homestead (we used .45 pistols for interior work). The idea was to fire enough ammo to get familiar with the system, and then to store it in a chemical bag within a gun case with several loaded magazines in the case. One of the mags was inserted nearly all the way. An inexpensive red dot sight and a sling completed the setup. We meant to fire it every few months but we relocated to another state and the weapon stayed in storage. Every couple of years either he or I open case, examine and lube the rifle, place it into a new storage bag, and stick it back into deep storage. We live in a location where pistols make the most sense although we do have a couple of tactical 12 gauges and our favorite Winchester Model 70. I'm getting on in years (ok, I'm ancient!). The weapon is not being used, my son isn't interested in it either. I don't recall any dings on the weapon and I still have the original Marlin magazine. I've seen $350 mentioned as a reasonable price in this forum and frankly have not checked it out. If you are interested I'll sell the weapon, the sight, the sling, and the case for $350 and you pay the shipping and insurance.

The only hitch that I can see is that I live on an island in the Pacific so there's no way for you to look at it without travelling here. Pretty expensive to do that. Also, I'm not clear on how to legally transfer it to you but I can figure that out. Aloha.
